Love Lost

You loved, didn’t you? It’s coloured all over your face. On top of your skin you proudly wore your heart, fearless of it being ever ravaged and torn apart. Convinced that your virtuous feelings were to be treasured and adored, flaunted around the world as an inspiration for others, a match that started the fire […]

A Conversation

The night is drawing near and bringing along with it the hazardous danger that hides in the mist of darkness, trying to force our conversation to a premature ending. It won’t succeed tonight. I do fear the dark but I fear even more the loss of your charming voice, the seductive dancing of your shadow […]

Finding time to write

5) Tell your readers 10 random facts about you

1. I have a bouncing ball with my favorite characters and role models of all time written on it and just to name a few there’s Lancelot du Lac, Hector the Trojan prince, Cyrano de Bergerac, Percival of Perceval, Jay Gatsby and of course Don Quijote de la Mancha.

2. I never thought that one of my dreams would be to become a teacher but nowadays I can’t wait ’til I get my own students.

3. At the age of twelve I wanted to understand people and I figured music was something everyone shared so I started gathering everything I could find from Vivaldi and Albinoni, Billy Joel and Chicago, The O’Jays and Patti Labelle, Rise Against and so on. You name it, I most likely have it 😉

4. I study biotechnology but I’ve started with philosophy on the sidelines because it’s awesome and it’s a good way to fill the gaps that raw science studies might create.

5. I read an enormous amount of manga, I really do.

6. I recently became a vegetarian, it was a long philosophical process when I decided to and it’s not as easy as I thought but I’m going for it!

7. I like knights. The code of chivalry makes it impossible to ever reach the perfect ideal of chivalry and thus forcing them to constantly improve their manners towards other people.

8. I started writing when I was ten because my older brother had written a great poem to my mother but a few years later I found out that he had just printed it from the internet, man was I pissed but I couldn’t stop writing.

9. I listen to music constantly. There’s a playlist for everything; the bus-ride to school, for running, waking up, studying, arriving home, mastering laziness, cleaning, when I’m happy, reading, have company, have a hangover and of course one for sleeping.

10. Most poems I write are personal, probably all of them. They represent a certain scene, stage or memory from my life and they’re all written for someone. I always give the poem to the person I’m writing of, if I’m brave enough to put my feelings on a piece of paper I figured I might as well allow them to be read by the one they are for.
There’s no sweeter music than the feeling of having my poetry understood by someone else than me, thank you dearly for reading for reading and following my blog, I appreciate it 🙂

Undress, take off the colour forced on to you and reveal the madness that can attain true joy. Embrace it, the burning of the flesh, the yearning of the soul, and the wish from a soft whisper by the lips, surrender to your own colour and let it sing through your heart. Stand naked in […]
